Wednesday 6th September

Last week in SST 9M had finished our work on cultural and heritage. We had 3 visitors: Whaea Kerry, Whaea Monika and Whaea Tara, they came for the whole day and help us finish our work off with 3D and 2D shape creator sites and apps.
We used SculptGL, Tinkercad, VR set and Paint 3D to finish our work with. Our teachers and classmates recorded and explored our class whare in the VR set, it looked really cool. Whaea Kerry explored the virtual whare and took many videos of each students parts of the whare. I loved finishing my work and getting it over and done with. Here is my part of the whare.

Music performance

Today in Music,
I had to perform 'dear future husband' by Meghan Trainor. I was very nervous in the start and had a few re-shoots on the camera but we thought that we might just crop the song to a bit where i didn't muck up.
Here is a little snip of my performance.

Good netiquette in class

Today 9M learnt about netiquette,
Today we were talking about speaking to others through message and call. We had to talk about what speech is formal language and informal. Netiquette is also a form of polite and rude messages online.
We also had to make a poster about netiquette.
Here is mine.

Poetry - English

In English we have been learning about poetry. Poetry is divided into three big chunks.

A metaphor is something that compares another thing with something else.
Here is my example of a metaphor...
My brothers room is a pigsty.(saying that my brothers room is a big mess and looks like a pigsty)

A similes are different because they describe and compare things with like or as.
Here is my example of a simile...
My cousin is a book worm. (saying she likes to read lots of books)

Pink shirt day!

On Friday 17th of May,
my school celebrated Pink Shirt Day. Everyone was allowed to wear a pink shirt. The reason why we wear pink shirts is because we want to be united in what we are saying about the 'no more bullying message'. whether it is verbal, mental, physical no matter what sort of bullying occurs, we don't want it in our school, in our homes or in our lives. We want everyone to be happy and safe and enjoying their lives!
