Film reflection

Last week in English we watched a film called 'Rabbit proof fence' each time we reached a certain time on the film we would have a sheet with sheets about the film. We also finished the film and answered all the questions. I learnt that aboriginals were slaves for white people. I disliked the part of the film where a girl is being taken away from her cousins. I admire the part where the girls run away.

Binary cards - ELE

Today we were doing a interacting binary card switch game, where you need to switch cards to a certain number. For instance my class had to get the numbers: 27,15 and 8. We had cards with dots and a number on one side and just plain black on the other side.
Here are some screenshots on how i got those numbers:

My lockdown reflection

These 7 weeks of lock down i have been pretty busy:
On the first week I was catching up on school work and trying hard to stay on task, there was a lot of work to do the second week so i had barely any spare time to have for my own, not even interval or lunch. The second week my mum and i found out our dog had puppies. For 2 weeks a was being bored in the holidays. The first few weeks in term 2 i have been doing school work and getting chores done. Even right now i am still doing school work.

Forces and motions

This week in science 10M have been learning about forces and motions. We have learnt that There are 2 types of forces: Non contact forces and contact forces. Non contact forces are forces that affect the object around it and contact forces are forces that touches the object and makes that object change in some way. The motions are just things you do with the object or what the object is doing.

Bay of Islands College - Gala day

On Saturday 29th February 2020,
Bay of Islands college decided to have a gala day since it is a leap day.
Luckily the school buses were still running so that the student who didn't have rides to get there could just hop on the bus. When the students got there they would help the staff and parents with their stalls or walk around the school being weird (in a funny way). There were bouncy castles, rides and games to entertain the students and the children who came to the gala. I spent the whole day walking around with my friends playing games and spending our money. It was very hot so we would go to the office and sit in there where it was nice and cold. but then we got kicked out because we were supposed to be outside. then we went to the bay cafe and sat there for a bit then we went for a walk and got some ice cream at the Mr Whippy ice cream truck then waited at the front of the school for the bell to ring so we could go back home.
Unfortunately I have no photos to show you guys that it was really great that day.

Wednesday 6th September

Last week in SST 9M had finished our work on cultural and heritage. We had 3 visitors: Whaea Kerry, Whaea Monika and Whaea Tara, they came for the whole day and help us finish our work off with 3D and 2D shape creator sites and apps.
We used SculptGL, Tinkercad, VR set and Paint 3D to finish our work with. Our teachers and classmates recorded and explored our class whare in the VR set, it looked really cool. Whaea Kerry explored the virtual whare and took many videos of each students parts of the whare. I loved finishing my work and getting it over and done with. Here is my part of the whare.
